The Power Sector Carbon Index was developed by an interdisciplinary team of researchers at Carnegie Mellon University's Scott Institute for Energy Innovation. The Director and Founding Co-Director of the Power Sector Carbon Index team is Costa Samaras, and Inês Azevedo was the Founding Co-Director. Other members of the team are Greg Schivley (Founding Lead Graduate Student Researcher and Developer), Thomas Deetjen (Lead Researcher and Developer), Adam Goldstein (Founding Graduate Researcher), Haibo Zhai (Co-Investigator), H. Scott Matthews (Senior Personnel), Yash Kumar (Graduate Researcher), and Spandan Gandhi (Graduate Researcher).
